A decent date movie - No Reservations Reviews

It's not the best movie out there to take your girlfriend or a friend of the opposite sex but is a well done effort. Catherine Zeta Jones is not that appealing, and I think the chemistry with Aaron Eckhart is not the best (as let's say Antonio Banderas in the Zorro movies) but they carry the movie as a decent "chick flick" with a twist, since it's set on a chef environment. Abigail Breslin, is the one who rescues this movie from total oblivion, she was adorable in "Little Miss Sunshine" even to receive an Oscar nom but in this movie she proves she actually can act past beyond the "tenderness" stage and really bring something to a script that wasn't convincing enough. For a date movie is okay, you won't miss much if you wait for DVD, but if you feel you need a couple of tears and laughs maybe this movie will make a decent choice.
